Nigerians have voiced their displeasure over the launch of the ‘OneNigeriaUnityFabric’ by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.
The first lady introduced the unity fabric this week, announcing it on her official X account with excitement, stating that it would be worn nationwide to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day on October 1, 2024. She captioned the post, “Today, as we unveil the #OneNigeriaUnityFabric, my heart is full of joy.”
She said: “Today, as we unveil the #OneNigeriaUnityFabric, my heart is full of joy. This fabric represents our nation’s unity and was inspired by my visit to Zimbabwe in 2023, where I saw a similar initiative. I introduced the idea to the Renewed Hope Initiative, and it has become a reality through the creativity of young Nigerians.

Nigerian X (Twitter) users have criticized First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for launching the National Unity Fabric, a project intended to promote peace and unity among Nigerians.
